OK, let me correct myself. I know I called the local March for Life here the "Philippine version," but perhaps I need to be more accurate and call it the "Metro Manila and nearby provinces in Luzon" version! :)
Having said that though, it doesn't mean that the Pro-Life March: Life Chain did not meet its objective in gathering "several hundred college students, young professionals, family and life ministry workers, members of civic and faith-based organizations, ordinary citizens and a handful of children" last Saturday "to take steps – literally – to participate in a demonstration of pro-life/pro-family, anti-RH bill convictions," as it says in the CBCP for Life article about it, which you can read in full here.
I was supposed to bring Tim along but he decided to stay home (well, at my parents' place) at the last minute. He said he didn't want his little sister to be alone. Aaawwww...
Anyway, I'm glad I went. Especially since I got to hear Kay Painter of Remembering SARA speak in person. She and Luana Stoltenberg of Operation Outcry International were here in the Philippines as guests of Pro-Life Philippines and gave talks as part of the activities for Pro-Life Month.
If you're wondering what they had to say, try going to this article here. Or better yet, watch Kay's message for us Filipinos here:
